[News] 090705 FT Island Japan Tour, Brimming With Full Confidence

 

After the addition of a new member, flower boy rock band, FT Island, successfully completed their Japan live tour with great team unity.

FT Island held a solo concert in Japan in April after Oh Wonbin’s departure from the group and addition of new member, Song Seunghyun in January this year. In addition to this, they also held their Japan Tour Live “FT Island Tour 2009 – I believe myself” on 1st July at Nagoya, followed by 3rd July at Osaka and completed their last performance on 4th July at Tokyo U-Port Hall with great success.

At the press conference before their Tokyo concert, new member, Song Seunghyun, talked about their 3rd album which is going to be released at the end of July, “It’s already been half a year since I joined the team. It feels fresh like we’re debuting again as we’re preparing for this new album.”

Also, Kyunghee University’s freshman, vocal Lee Hongki, revealed that, “Our university professor puts me in the musical cast for Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ upon my request.”

At their solo concert in Singapore last month, FT Island led the local fans into a frenzy and they said that, “Singaporean fans are passionate over music.” After completing their Japan performances, the boys will move on immediately to Thailand and also visit Taiwan for their first time to do their promotions.

Following the Nagoya and Osaka concerts, the boys expressed that, “We performed in casual outfits and it was a very fun live performance. That’s all thanks to the energy given by the fans. We should have a new Japanese song releasing in Fall this year.”

The concert opens with the song “Friendship” and FT Island presented themselves as a matured band, showing lots of confidence on stage.

Choi Jonghoon did a guitar cover for the classic piece “Cannon” and other members also had their own solo corners, showing new sides of them. They also performed a song which was not recorded in their album “사랑를 본지도 SaRangReul BonJiDo” and received applause from the audience.

Fans also sang along to their 2nd Japanese single “I believe myself”, which reached the Oricon Daily Chart when it was released in April this year.

FT Island performed “Primadonna” and “The One” for the encore segment and received lots of applause and cheers from the fans. They came on stage once again under the request of their fans and performed the last two songs “FTIsland” and “Troublemaker”.
